Bringing cultures together has always been my long term desire in life. As a human being, I will always remain proud of my Jewish heritage. On visiting Halifax, please allow me to introduce you to some of the significant contributions the Jewish community has made toward the development and well being of our city, Halifax.

On this tour, we will visit the Beth Shalom Synagogue, the Shar Shalom cemetery where some of the victims of RMS Titanic were buried, as well as victims of the great Halifax Explosion of 1917. It was only in 1831 that The Lower Canada Assembly voted to extend legal rights to Jews.

Find out which Jewish families first settled in Halifax; perhaps you might be related to them? Find out why Jewish people are so unique and resilient all over the world. This tour is open to everyone and is a great chance to learn about one another. The durations of this tour is about three hours. Large groups are welcome. Please book ahead of time to allow us to reserve the synagogue
